BENCH-SCALE TREATABILITY STUDIES

In remedial projects, the bench-scale studies are conducted to evaluate emerging technologies and test new applications of the existing technologies. These studies are specifically designed to address the requirements of the clients and the data is used to establish a better understanding of the natural conditions at the sites, determine kinetics and design parameters for field remedial systems. In addition, the bench-scale studies can be used to study parameters not covered by the standard EPA Methods and determine bioavailability data and support risk assessment projects. In remedial projects with unique site conditions and the presence of combination of contaminants or the presence of emerging chemicals, we are capable to develop new technologies from concept to bench-scale study through to field testing.
